Getting started with TalkScan
1. Connect your VOIP Phone in your network. If you currently don’t have a VOIP phone you can click here to purchase one from Scan website.
2. Configure your TalkScan Account/SIP ID into your VOIP phone by following the instruction from Setup My Phone. If you don’t have a TalkScan ID click here to get one now.
3. Once the setup is complete, dial 902 to check if the phone has been configured correctly. You should hear a confirmation message if the phone has been configured correctly.

4. Login to the website using your www.scan.co.uk login details and you can manage account, manage your incoming number, voicemail and add credit so that you can start making outgoing calls.

Useful VOIP numbers
901 - Check your TalkScan credit balance
902 - Welcome message (for TalkScan bundle purchasers)
903 - Check your User ID
904 - Echo Test (for latency checking)
905 - Audio Test. After the beep record your voice and receive it back to ensure two-way audio communication works properly
906 - Turns balance announcement when making calls on / off
907 - Turns low credit announcement when making calls on / off
9123 - UK Date & Time
9200 - Check Voicemail

Calling other VOIP Networks
Using a VOIP Phone, you can always call any other VOIP phone that's not registered with TalkScan by dialing their SIP address like so: UserID@voipdomain.com

TalkScan also provide some prefix codes that you can dial just before a User's ID to call them across another provider's network.

Adding Credit to your Talkscan Account
1. Buy Call Credit by clicking on the any of the denominations available TalkScan website on the top.
2. You will be redirected to www.scan.co.uk to the shopping cart with the selected denomination already added in your cart.
3. Complete the shopping cart process.

4. Check your email for an email from website@scan.co.uk with the subject as Scan invoice status update – [Invoice Number].

5. Open the attachment from the Stage 3 Email (mostly third email) which will contain your invoice details.
6. Click on Add Credit link on www.talkscan.co.uk and Select the account you want to add credit, if you have multiple accounts then enter the Serial Number without “SCIL” and Invoice Number without the leading “000” from the attachment.
7. Click on submit and wait for the confirmation display.
8. If you make an error you will prompted to re-enter Serial Number and Invoice Number.
